Sorry it has taken us a while to contact you. We wanted to send a huge thanks for catering for our wedding on 7th October! You guys and the team were absolutely brilliant and the food was fantastic! You were really helpful in the build up to the wedding with planning and altering our arrangements. You were also really great with my coeliac allergy which meant I didn't have to worry about any food on the day and the desserts were out of this world-I was absolutely made up with the gluten free tiramisu, as I usually get ice cream when I'm out for food! We had so many comments about how great the food tasted, how well the children were catered for on the day and the Paella was really popular with all our guests in the evening.

We just wanted to say a huge thank you for the absolutely incredible food at our wedding on Saturday! We had the best day and the food was fantastic! When you have guests coming asking for second helpings of the starter and continuously mentioning the food this week whenever we've seen people - that says it all! As a team you have been nothing but helpful and I also wanted to give a special shout out to Isabel, who must've received about 10 different table plans the two weeks leading up to the day due to constant changes.

I have worked as a wedding planner for 10 years and can hand on heart say that it is the best wedding food I have ever had. Everyone was raving about it and actually still are! We didn’t get the opportunity to thank you all and would have liked to done so in person. The night was amazing and we had so many compliments on how fantastic the food was. GFS did the catering for our wedding back in May. The planning and arrangements prior to the day went very smoothly. Steve and Alex are both very thorough and considerate! We attended one of their 'tasting sessions' which was lovely! The food on the day was amazing!! We had canapes, the BBQ meat feast (or vegetarian alternative) with different salads and Yorkshire Ploughman’s in the evening. The staff were all very professional and polite!! I cannot recommend them highly enough. Excellent value for money!

GFS hosted and catered our wedding on the 20th May. The service we received from booking our wedding, throughout the planning process and all weekend over our wedding was exceptional. The food all tasted amazing and they looked after the dietary needs of all of our guests really well! Nobody missed out which was really important to us! When either of us was struggling or worried about anything at any point they helped come up with solutions and for this we cannot thank them enough! Many of our guests described the wedding as the best they have been to and this is thanks in a very big part to the service of GFS, nothing was too much trouble and the range of drinks provided by Matt really reflected our wishes. Thanks so so much for everything, we had a truly amazing day!
The Coniston Hotel, Country Estate and Spa - Company Birthday Party
Now that the dust has settled, we have finally had time to reflect on our ‘20th Birthday Celebration’, and felt that we really should write to you to express our appreciation for the part you and your team played in making it such a happy occasion. We had been impressed by your response to our initial telephone enquiry and for the care that was maintained throughout. You adapted to our requirements, coped with our facilities, and produced an excellent meal that was widely appreciated. Above all, you and your staff gave no indication of just how hard you were working behind the scenes and the cheerful, prompt service contributed to the warm and friendly gathering we had hoped to create. We have received many compliments and thought it only right to pass on to you our appreciation and thanks. We hope to have the pleasure of working with you again in the future.

This email is so overdue it's more than embarrassing. I didn't get around to saying a big thank you for our party last September. You guys were amazing, your team was great and the food was beautifully prepared and kept coming just as we planned. The poor bar staff were busy as it was such a lovely day and lots of people came. India had a good send off ( is loving Californian life) and we had a great engagement. Thank you for all your hard work and care, and a million apologies for not sending this when I meant to in September. I found a draft whilst I was looking for something else and couldn't believe it. Alex you mentioned Rachel showed you some photos would love to see them, we didn't get around to taking any - too busy enjoying ourselves.

Verity and Tom - Jervaulx Abbey - Wedding
Hi Steve,
We just wanted to say the hugest thank you imaginable to you and the team. Nothing was too much trouble. The staff were absolutely wonderful, friendly, patient and efficient. The food was incredible!!! We've had so many compliments and both enjoyed it thoroughly, even though we thought we wouldn't get the chance to eat it was more like we didn't get the chance to talk, just try getting us away from that wonderful food! We were stunned at the hard work you guys put in, you went above and beyond the call of a caterer, so many little things that you did that held the day together. I did stop the staff who were lugging a huge piece of oak from the abbey back to the marquee to thank them - they just all went above and beyond, I can't say enough about the character of the company and its clear the staff are well looked after as they really did you proud. I'm going to email her separately, but I just also wanted to tell you how exceptional Rachel was. She is an absolute asset to you, calm, organised, absolutely unflappable! She was still spearing marshmallows at 12.00am! We are so grateful to all of you, and I hope that even though it's impossible to find the words to say, that you all understand how wonderful you made our day and how glad we are that we picked you.

Kiran and Buzz - Garden Marquee in Yarm - Wedding
Hi Alex,
I will be writing a proper letter but just wanted to e.mail you to thank you and the team for everything on Saturday. It was a truly fabulous occasion and the accolades you all received from the guests - for the food, the presentation, the skill with which you got the timings so right and much more - were second to none. You were all truly magnificent and the food was absolutely delicious. The beef particularly was amazing so please pass our accolades to the chef!! Kiran and Buzz and ourselves and everybody there were so delighted with all you did to make the day so special. The staff who stayed on till 2.00a.m. were superb. We carried on through the weekend with various celebrations and more Indian traditional henna and dances on Sunday!!

Dear GFS,
Having got back from a lovely honeymoon and dropping to earth with a huge bump by returning to work we have finally got round to the all important thank you’s to those who made 30-03-19 the perfect day for us. Alex and Rachel, you were both brilliant throughout. From first meet up to the clear up. You were so attentive which meant it all went so smoothly. Nothing was to much trouble. Steve, a real stalwart, thank you also for your help along the way and your hard work during the day. Where would I have been without your help printing out my speech?! Caitlin, you managed a great bar, keeping everyone well oiled. Paul, the food was SO good. I felt it was such a shame I could only fit one helping of pork in before I was getting full. Many guests have commented how good it all was. Most importantly though we wish to say a huge thank you all as a team. To all those who worked on tables, washed pots, plated up. It all helped and it was all appreciated. It really was perfect! The gutting thing is that we can’t do it all again as it would be great to use you again.
